Loew hints at Germany exit after Brazil 2014

Germany coach Joachim Loew has hinted that he would look to step down from his current position following the 2014 World Cup.

The 52-year-old took Die Mannschaft to the semi-finals of 2010 World Cup, before losing to Spain, and his charges are fancied as one of the favourites to emerge victorious from Euro 2012.

Despite this, he acknowledged that change is a necessary part of football, and that he will eventually need a new project when he has done all he can for Germany.

There comes a time when both sides, or myself, feels there needs to be a change made. Sometimes change is necessary. he told Bild.

Eventually there will come a time where new ideas are needed, where I say now I ve done everything and a new challenge and new motivation is needed.

Ronaldo backed by former team-mate Brown for Euro 2024 recovery due to unrivalled mentality

Cristiano Ronaldo will bounce back from his Euro 2024 disappointment and find form due to his elite mentality, according to former Manchester United team-mate Wes Brown.

The Portugal captain is the record appearance maker (29) and goalscorer (14) at the Euros, yet has failed to find the back of the net in this edition of the competition.

Ronaldo was reduced to tears after his penalty was saved by Jan Oblak in extra time before making amends and scoring in their last-16 penalty shoot-out win over Slovenia.

That brought questions once more over the veteran forward s ability and influence for Roberto Martinez s side, who face France in the quarter-finals on Friday.

However, Brown, who spent six years with Ronaldo at Manchester United, believes his former te…

Serie A 2017-18: Shock signing Bonucci, Juve star Dybala – five stars to watch

The Serie A season begins on Saturday when Juventus start their bid for a seventh successive Scudetto with a home game against Cagliari.

Roma and Napoli are once again likely to provide the primary challenge to Juve s dominance, while AC Milan will be looking for a resurgence after an extremely busy transfer window.

Ahead of the 2017-18 kick-off, we look at five players to keep a close eye on in the battle for the title.

Leonardo Bonucci (AC Milan)

No Serie A transfer raised more eyebrows than Italy centre-back Bonucci s move from champions Juventus to AC Milan one of 10 new additions for the Rossoneri. Bonucci left Turin amid a breakdown in relations with coach Massimiliano Allegri and will be depended on to solidify the defence as Milan aim f…

Rummenigge: Ribery will be back in 2015

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has backed Franck Ribery to make his comeback before the turn of the year.

The ex-France international has been out of action since March due to ankle and back problems and it remains uncertain when exactly he will return to match action.

However, Rummenigge remains optimistic that the 32-year-old will soon be back, even though he has acknowledged Ribery could still be unavailable for a number of weeks.

I have no doubt about it that Franck will return to the pitch this year, Rummenigge told TZ.

The first thing we need now is an exact diagnosis of the problem. It could still be a while, though.

Rummenigge then went on to discuss Bayern s Champions League match versus Olympiacos on Wednesday and warned…

Neville blasts England´s familiar possessional struggles after Euro 2024 agony

England suffered another familiar failing in the Euro 2024 final as Gary Neville was left fed up with every Three Lions manager referencing the same struggles in possession.

Gareth Southgate acknowledged his side did not keep the ball well against Spain, who triumphed 2-1 in Berlin thanks to Mikel Oyarzabal s late winner on Sunday.

England managed just a 34.9% share of possession in the showpiece, losing the ball 98 times across the team and completing only 66.5% of passes in Spain s half.

Former England full-back Neville cut a frustrated figure on ITV pundit duties, blasting a repeated struggle for the Three Lions shortcomings.

We can focus on a lot of things, but Southgate s answer on how we did not keep the ball well enough should be the title of the …

Mbappe´s arrival, spectacular goals, Messi into exile – revisiting France and Argentina´s 2018 class

Sunday s World Cup final will not be the first time Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi have met on this stage.

If the encounter at Lusail Stadium is half as good as the instant classic witnessed in Kazan four years ago, then we ll be in for a treat.

France won 4-3 in their last-16 duel, a game that was defined by Argentina s fragility and Les Bleus ruthlessness.

Didier Deschamps men of course went on to win the tournament; Argentina soon sacked Jorge Sampaoli and Lionel Messi went into a self-imposed international exile.

It was a seismic contest in a variety of ways.

Mbappe elevated to superstardom

The final of Qatar 2022 is of course being billed as Mbappe versus Messi. Ahead of their meeting in Kazan, this wasn t really the case, with the la…

Rams vs Seahawks TNF Prop Bets: Home Cooking for Russ

The Thursday Night Football game between the NFC West rival Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks has one of the biggest totals on the board for Week 5, giving us plenty of prop bet options to choose from.

The prop train got back on the right track in Week 4 as we went 10-5 SU for +4.45u, and we’re looking to keep cashing tickets with a trio of plays for this very prop-friendly game. We like Russ to continue to cook on TNF, are grabbing some plus-money TD shares, and are hoping Sean McVay gets a certain pouting receiver more involved in the offense.

We bring you our favorite free NFL prop picks and predictions for Rams vs. Seahawks at Lumen Field in Seattle on October 7.

JuJu Smith-Schuster Super Bowl 57 Prop Odds and Prediction: Another Low Receiving Output

The Kansas City Chiefs will be looking to utilize their nearly unstoppable passing game tonight when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has a lot of weapons to choose from in the aerial attack. Yet while Kansas City has spread the ball around for much of the year, one man has been overlooked by Super Bowl odds: wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster.

Keep reading to see how that dynamic impacts my favorite Super Bowl player props for Smith-Schuster. Also, be sure to read our extensive Super Bowl picks and coverage before you place your bets on the big game!

Steelers vs Rams Odds, Picks, and Predictions Week 7: Poor Matchup Both Ways

The Pittsburgh Steelers are fresh off a bye week and flying to the West Coast to face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Despite struggling to move the ball on offense, the Steelers are 3-2 and will aim to upset a Rams squad that is 3-3 and coming off a lopsided victory vs. the Cardinals.

NFL odds opened with the Rams as 3-point home favorites and the Over/Under at 42.5 for this Week 7 showdown. Here are my best free Steelers vs. Rams free NFL picks and predictions for October 22.
